digitron - #198 - dedicated delegate for you from the get-go

Sun Nov 20, 2016 12:18 pm

Introduction
Hello fellow Liskers!

My RL name is Gerald (delegate name is digitron), and I'm living in the southern part of Germany. I have an IT background starting in the C64 / ATARI ST days. After passively absorbing knowledge in cryptoland since 2014, I have been running main net and test net servers for Lisk since the early hours of this project.

Server Specifications
Main Net Server Specifications
Ubuntu 14.04
CPU Intel® Skylake Core i7-6700, Quad-Core, 4x 4,0 GHz
RAM 32 GB
Disk 2x250 GB SSD RAID
unlimited traffic
DDoS Protection
Backup with same specs can be online in minutes

Test Net Server Specifications
Ubuntu 14.04
CPU 2 vCores Intel® Xeon® Processors E5-26XX
RAM 4 GB
Disk 120 GB SSD
unlimited traffic
DDoS Protection

Current Contributions to the Lisk Ecosystem
Kept the blockchain moving at all times, stressed the test net, hunted for bugs.

Planned Contributions to the Lisk Ecosystem
If I get voted to be delegate, I will reinvest a good part of the forging rewards into securing the long term funding of the Lisk development. Apart from this, I will be on the lookout for promising developments in the Lisk environment, and willing to fund these as well.

Ending Statement
The main job of a delegate, of course, is to secure the network, come what may. With my technical background, the experience I gained in the last months and the support of the wonderful group of people, and that means YOU, I will make that happen.
