I'm happy to announce that now host .deb package amd64 and i686 for both Ubuntu 14 and Ubuntu 16
for main net as well as test net

This mean you can now install lisk by simply using apt-get install lisk ( main net) and apt-get install lisk-test ( test net )

to be able to use apt-get to install lisk... you will need to add the repo in the source list

First : How to know which version of Ubuntu i have

Code: Select all

lsb_release -a

Now run the following commands :
Ubuntu 14 ( Trusty )

Code: Select all

sudo echo 'deb trusty main unstable' >> /etc/apt/sources.list

Ubuntu 16 ( Xenial )

Code: Select all

sudo echo 'deb xenial main unstable' >> /etc/apt/sources.list

Then you will need to add the pubkey

Code: Select all

wget -qO - | sudo apt-key add -

After that run this... or that

Code: Select all

apt-get update

( if you wish to install test net server )

Code: Select all

apt-get install lisk-test

( for main net server )

Code: Select all

apt-get install lisk

Now you can just start lisk by doing:

Code: Select all

lisk coldstart

( DO NOT USE bash with this DEB, it will not work, lisk run under system account )

Important Note:
1. Before each install / update, the DEB package create a backup file of the config.json in /opt/backup
2. Lisk DEB package manage dependencies so dont be surprise to see many package being install the firsts time
3. Lisk DEB package install a side package named lisk-wrapper which allow you to start, stop, rebuid, coldstart, lisk from every where in command line
so no more necessary to change directory and do bash <what_ever>
you can just do:

Code: Select all

 lisk stop

If you have any issue you can report here or PM me on lisk chat

i will answer you as soon as possible

Thank you.
