Any ideas what's happened?

Wed Aug 30, 2017 7:31 am

Last week I used Changelly to moved some BTC to my LSK wallet.

I have no idea what happened (especially as I moved ETH over minutes later with no issue) but the receiver address got changed. Changelly claim they know nothing about it. I certainly didn't mis-type 22 characters and I checked the wallet after and that address was nowhere that I could have accidentally copied and pasted it.

Here is the transaction:

https://explorer.lisk.io/tx/10995827619427304525

If anyone know anything about the receiver 17371821033440722524L I would appreciate it.

Dang, that is a lot of Lisk :( I've used Changelly many times before, all went through fine.

Only thing I can think of is some kind of malware on your computer.

Thanks. I think that's highly unlikely but I can see that it might be the only logical reason.

the same thing happened to me.
the receiving address in lisk nano changed.....from 1541201800568706839L where my coins were sent from coinspot.... to 17157600590778509064L, the current address in lisk nano.
I copy and paste from nano , into the coinspot window...soooo.....again, any ideas ?
this was also the first and only transaction into nano.
help much appreciated.

I have found the above coins using explorer.lisk.io, using the address I sent them to..( 1541201800568706839L the first address lisk nano gave me )....soo..how do i claim those coins?. they are not showing up in lisk nano , I imagine that's because the new address sitting in nano has changed..how? why?

Unbelieveable! i thougt i was the only one with this problem...!
Exact a week ago i downloaded the Lisk nano wallet ,kopied the address and pasted it into the withdrawl section in Bittrex and transfered 19.9 LSK to my new Lisk nano wallet and went to bed..
The next day i checked the nano wallet if the Lisk had arrived but the balance said 0 LSK  .
I checked the blockchain explorer and saw that my 19.9 LSK were sent indeed but to a complete other address! The wallet address i see now is 12290364956292242943L , the address i have sent the LSK to is 18246766601710641342L. The 19.9 LSK are the only LSK in that wallet so that made me think something went wrong with the installation of the nano wallet, but i still dont understand what happened ??

I also contacted Bittrex, they reacted pretty fast and said:

'The address shown that was entered for these coins to be sent to is 18246766601710641342L. It's impossible for our system to change the address. We send coins to what you have entered in the withdrawal field. It's possible you have malware on your machine that would change the address on your clipboard. Please check for malware, there is nothing we can do to recover coins sent to the wrong address once a transaction id has been generated and sent to the block explorer.
Thank you,Tyler @ Bittrex

My laptop is a complete bunker so malware is nearly impossible.
I already did 2 requests at lisk.zendesk.com for support (i dont know if im at the right place there?), but till now i didnt get any reaction. Because of the fact there are more people with this problem, help is much appreciated!

p.s. sorry for my english ;)

Yes, the same issue here. I saw the LSK coming to my Lisk Nano wallet after the transaction, but now, logging in over some time, it's gone, and the address has changed. I would very much like to see Lisk response to this issue as I can't see any other option than their wallet bug.

As leon mentioned in an earlier post, it's more than likely malware, but I say DEFINATELY malware.
It's the last thing anyone wants to hear, but trust me, denial here is not an option.
Its malware taking advantage of you, it will change the address (generally when pasted) and can be easy to miss if not paying attention.
There are many ways to become infected such as installing a hacked version of Lisk Wallet, Trojans, virus and recently worms have been found. (thanks to the NSA being hacked by Shadow Brokers)
In your case, you may have downloaded and installed a suspicious Lisk Nano Wallet. BE SURE it only ever comes from the Authors website, anything else could have easily been modified/hacked.

Unfortunately the internet has become a breeding ground for this type of thing, just like crossing the road, always look left, right and left again to be sure. You're only as safe as you make yourself.

So, if it's a malware, then how come the LSK appeared on my Lisk wallet and was there before? And now it's not there and address has changed? It was installed from Lisk website.
